I decided, in this, the tenth volume of the “Motor Boys Series,” to tell you some further adventures of Jerry, Ned and Bob, in their motor ship, Comet, and the reason I did so was because so many of you told me how much you liked the other airship story, “The Motor Boys in the Clouds.”
Airships are now getting to be a regular feature of our daily life, and, while not yet as numerous as automobiles, it is only a question of time when they will be. You remember, I suppose, when automobiles were not very numerous, but there is not a city in this country to-day, where several can not be seen.
Following their first experiences in the wonderful motor ship they had constructed, our three friends, Jerry, Bob and Ned, were ready for more adventures. By a combination of circumstances they learned of a party of white men who were held captive by a strange tribe of Indians in a valley of the Rocky Mountains. They decided to rescue them, and they did not succeed without considerable peril.
