We found a field of empty pilgrim huts, behind the Datsan in Kurumkhan, in the Barguzin Valley. We stayed in one of the huts, off and on, for a week. They were like old Russian houses, except instead of the typical Red corner with its icons, these huts had Buddhist shrines.
