The Great Adventure - A Life Long Passion for Plants, Places & People

ByClive L. Justice

> The Great Adventure is the memoir of Clive L. Justice from his native Saltspring Island and as a boy on Vancouver Island, to the end of Wartime Europe (WW2); which gave him the opportunity to study Landscape Architecture in Berkeley, California, there being no school in Canada at the time. His graduation took him back to Department of Public Works in Ottawa, and to the western provinces of Canada. > His further study in UBC's School of Community and Regional Planning (SCARP) opened up his practice to designing parks, schools, and Universities Campuses: University of Victoria and University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon and UBC were his next big projects. After 34 years of successful finding and gaining experience, he became a volunteer for Canadian Executive Service Overseas (CESO/SACO) as a Park Planner and Construction Supervisor undertaking projects like the Queen's Garden, a garden of native flowers and fruits in Malaysia on her retirement, a gift from the nation.
