The book may be a little tough to read if you are not use to a more scientific writing style, but it is very much worth the effort. I would consider myself a very health person and by modifing my diet a little to match up with the concepts presented in this book I have felt and seen improvement in less than a week. More energy through out the day and no ups and downs. Feel energized even after an 8 hour day at work, coaching a high school lacrosse team for 2 hours and then going to practice with my men's club lacrosse team for an additional 2 hours. Even the next day I feel great.
Nutrition continues to evolve and Dr. Wilson has the latest insights in how the body processes food and why most diets are wrong and most nutrition experts don't know what they are talking about. I especially learned that fructose is the same as alcohol and has to be processed by the liver. Fructose is processed at the same slow speed as alcohol and the excess goes to fat. Carbs and glucose is good, fructose is bad. Very interesting. Also. It's important to slow down the carbohydrate absorption with lots of vegetables. Very good book with the latest in guidance.
