I bought this book because of the FreelanceSwitch/Envato links, but was really disappointed with it. The content is fairly light for the price of the book, there is just over 200 reasonably small pages. Of the 11-12 chapters there are two of them that are reasonably useful. The information is very generic and uninspiring. At no point did I find myself thinking “that piece of information is really helpful” Another thing I was disappointed with, is the quality of writing. It feels very repetitive and there is a worrying number of mistakes with words missing from sentences. So much so that I was wondering if I was reading an earlier edition of the book that hadn't been proofread. If the book was called a brief overview of being a freelancer and cost less than £10, then I wouldn't have felt so hard done by. But the price, title and reputation in no way matches the quality of the book.
