A quest for a legendary sword turns into a heart pounding adventure across a world where the Church and mythology intersect. Young Kejen Densky charges after one of his people's greatest legends and finds himself in the middle of even greater events! But does HeavenSteel even exist? Is he pursuing greater glory or running foolishly to his doom, taking others with him? And how will Kejen react to the unexpected? Sometimes brilliantly. Sometimes badly. Sometimes very badly. And all the while, a greater storm gathers strength in the East, straining at the bit, ready to be unleashed... Fans of JRR Tolkien, Terry Brooks and Harry Turtledove will spend all day reading and all night debating HeavenSteel and a world much like ours but at the same time, very different.

Oct 3, 2009"HeavenSteel" Very good fantasy epic. Armies do seem a little too well organized for the Middle Ages. Still, I liked the characters and it is a good story. The battles are the best! I could see armies moving, hear the feet tramping and hear the screaming. I would love to see a sequal. Given the history the author lays out, maybe a few prequels are in order.
Sep 10, 2009"Re: Heavensteel" They are not English but I am sure they would not mind stopping off at a pub for a pint or two! Thank you for buying my book and I am glad it kept you occupied while stuck on an airplane!
Sep 6, 2007"Heavensteel" This is an excellent page turner! I read it on the airplane instead of watching some movie about penguins. I grew up with Terry Brooks and Lord of the Rings and CS Lewis and Heavensteel ranks up there with them. I liked the story and the characters. I identfied with Trif most since I am the quiet sort too. It gets pretty bloody and violent and the battles are the best. I agree that the armies seem better organized than one would expect but that seems to add to the story. Khaizani are definately Mongols and Locklannigh are Vikings but I am not sure what a Northmarcher is. A name like Densky seems Russian or Slavic but their speech ("bleendin'", "bloody", "bugger that")is almost English. Being English myself that only endeared them to me more :-)
Apr 20, 2007"Return of the Epic" How long has it been since we were able to say a novel swept us away to a world of adventure so vivid in it's lusty narrative, we left it spent and shaking? Heavensteel is exactly that novel. Tolkin-esque? I suppose.. but only in the way that a B 52 bomber is Wright brother-esque. In other words, Mr. Hasapis has accomplished here what Tolkin or Howard only dared to dream when they took up a pen. Yes dear reader, don't hesitate to give Heavensteel it's day in court. I promise you'll not regret it. All hail Constantinos Hasapis, America's new literary treasure!
Mar 30, 2007"HeavenSteel" Is HeavenSteel real or only the stuff of fanciful stories of bards of yore? Young Kejen Densky must know for sure for his family heritage and the lives of a nation hang in the balance. A terrible violence is looming in the distance from a warrior king with a lust for power, riches, and the land unconquered. Those readers who love the works of Tolkien and others like him will not be disappointed. It is the story of family, the bond of a brother, and those friends that will back you at all times. What starts as a journey in search of a sword, becomes one of life, death, hardship, friendship, and a catalyst for what one hopes is the destruction of an evil tyrant and the stopping of thousands he commands. The battles and skirmishes found within these pages are well thought out, skillfully portrayed and colorful. The writer illustrates battle and you will feel as though you are there with Kejen and his companions. You will be following their very footsteps... More > experiencing the test of their and your own mettle. The characters are intriguing and delightful from the pure of heart down to those lacking any conscience. The author has done a fine job drawing you into his world and holding you hostage. After all, who could not love a book that encapsulates adventure, fantasy, and the quest of a legendary sword?
