With all things being equal, the person doing the buying first buys the character of the person selling to them before they buy the product/service. They buy the “PERSONS BRAND!” Visually, verbally, and through your actions you need to build the message you are trying to create about your value by living the message. Deliver on the promise you make to your market. Regardless of age, regardless of position, regardless of the business we happen to be in, all of us need to understand the importance of personal branding. You are the CEO of your own company called… “It’s Me Inc.” To be in business today, to get the job you want, to attract someone in your life, your most important job is to be head marketer for the brand called YOU. Forget about that saying “It is not what you know, but who you know” RATHER it is who knows you and what do you want them to know about you?” Your image is also a reflection of your business you are a walking advertisement.
