This is a terrific book for a musician who wants to play out. Craver is right on the money. I'd give it a 9. He gets straight to the point and gives you what you want to know. Nothing is repeated. Nothing is over analyzed. All the boring things are left out. If you have ever said, "I can play the guitar and I want to play in front of other people" this is the book is for you. I have already incorporated Cravers advice.

I agree with t_scharf's comments. The book is short and states the obvious, but, that is exactly what I liked about it. I'm new to the music industry and I needed the obvious stated. And I needed it clear and concise. For $9.99, the download was perfect for me. It gave me the confidence to give it a try! You may not ever see me on American Idol, but, if you do see me, you know that I am earning money!

"Mostly White Space" While the advice given in this book is technically correct and even somewhat useful, it mostly states the obvious. Even then it might be worth the price if there was a little more depth, but it reaches the full 53-page count by using the same old tricks we pulled when writing our high school papers: 1)Make the margins HUGE 2)Use the largest text font you think you can get away with and make the headings even bigger. 3)Double space within paragraphs & triple space between paragraphs & after headings. 4)If a chapter ends with a few lines at the top of a page, leave the rest of the page blank. This just doesn't qualify as a $10 or $15 "book". It should have been a 15-page pamphlet selling for $5.
