I bought this book due to the shill advertising and do not recommend it. It does not promise all it says and I would not be suprised if the only one and fantastic review is from the author of the book (note: conflicting interest). Not only is the book of poor quality but its ridiculously expensive. Save your money and buy any of the other fantastic medicine books!

"I think it is the best medical textbook i have ever bought!" I just wanted to say that i got your book last week and i havent been able to put it down since!! it is FANTASTIC!! its like the ULTIMATE medicine textbook!! a combination of both mini-kumar and clark and OHCM! its just such a comprehensive book with everything in it!! it makes me not want to bother to write my own notes because yours are so good!! but i realise that repition is probably the key so now im just structuring my notes like yours... Thank you so much for writing it - i think it is the medical equivalent to surgical talk, but just much better!!

"Thinking medicine is the ultimate final year revision book! It is an amalgamation of reliable core-texts (OHCM and miniture K&C) with up-to-date guidelines, underlying pathophysiology and excellent illustrations. It inspires one to alter the way medical information is learnt, by understanding first-principles and classifying topics into a format that can easily be recalled, with additional helpful pneumonics and examination tips. More importantly this is all done in a format that resembles one's own revision notes, from which one can directly learn and use as a template to make further notes. Each topic covered is complete in its entirety, with history, examination findings, radiology and underlying diseases. It is tailored for both written and practical examinations and provides a clear demonstration of the level of knowledge needed to pass finals with honours; including examples of how to present your examination findings in the practical exams! It is the best book I have... More > bought in six years of medical school and I would recommend it to all final year medical students. It has altered the way i write my own notes and hence learn information and given me a platform from which i feel i can tackle any medical topic. Furthermore, the way the book is written instills confidence into anyone worried about finals and demonstrates that aiming for honours is a realistic target! Thinking Medicine is a written necessity for every final year student, akin to the necessity of a stethoscope during practicals! Every student wants to know the secret to passing medical finals... this is it!< Less
