"The Voodoo That You Do" If only we were all so lucky as to be blessed with an African princess who's quite handy at voodoo! Crystal Ordonez does it again. She has taken two of the horrors of reality - Corporate America and publishing contracts - and turned them into any writer, model, or actor's worst nightmare. The story tells the tale of a young, handsome redheaded model - three years freshly in the States after many long years lived in Africa. This poor model - good in heart and soul - has been given the run-around by the company he works for. He hasn't been paid, and yet he's been used on almost every cover of the company's successful publications. The law has failed him more times than one, and now the time has come to take matters into his own hands and bring his case one step further... with the help of a little black magic, of course. Some say there is no such thing as revenge. That you will not give as good as you got. When you point the finger, there are three... More > fingers pointing back at you. There is no such thing as an eye for an eye... The list goes on and on. And yet, Ordonez proves every one of them wrong. Revenge is most definitely sweet in this timely tale of wrong doings and the dire consequences that follow them. All in all, Crystal Ordonez pens a tale of natural horror, human anger, and gratifying, beautiful vengeance. Corporate America beware! Crystal Ordonez has made her path to you! J. L. "From a devoted Fan" The Cover Model is one very effective Halloween tale which scared the daylights out of this reader! When I got to the lines about why white people can’t perform curses, I felt something on my thumb, scritching, and as I jerked away and looked down, a giant Water Beetle landed on my shoulder, just below my long hair. Okay, I am sufficiently terrified now! Needless to say, The Cover Model is a tale I will pull out every Halloween Eve to totally terrorize myself with. Every new horror tale from the pen of Crystal Ordonez is, if possible, superior to the previous stories. I don’t know how Ms. Ordonez does it, but she does; The Cover Model ought to be made into a film, it is THAT GOOD! "the Cover Models Contract" I can't say enough about this story. It is funny and has just the right ammount of mystery. The revenge is so sweet I only wish things COULD happen like that.
