This book is GREAT! I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. Crystal really highlights the importance of getting your regular exams and never take your health lightly. I love how she included notes from her relatives and close friends. Crystal has a great family and many friends. It really shows the world how important it is to have family because they can help you endure your trials and tribulations. This memoir is impeccable. She refuses to sugarcoat anything about the disease. She gives a full breakdown of the disease and side-effects from the treatments. Thank you for writing such an awesome book! I encourage all women and men to purchase this book. This book is also great for gifts.

It's hard for me to say that I enjoyed the book, only considering what Crystal had to go through to write it. As she tells of her struggles during her "journey to survivor" she also gives detail and important information. This is one of the few books, by an African American woman detailing her diagnosis, treatment and finally her win over breast cancer. I recommend this not only to those who may have breast cancer, but to the family members and supporters who fight for a cure! Very well done Crystal!
