War drums echo in the valleys and hills surrounding Canterlot. The Hideous Strength uncoils to strike as traitors and fear threaten Canterlot from within. Twilight and her friends have escaped Jannah, but at a cost. Now at the edge of the world, and with fraying sanity and flagging spirits, they approach the limits of existence as they know it before the Walls of Dusk. Whatever awaits them will be Final, and there is no telling whether the answers Twilight so longs to hear will save Equestria or damn it and her to perish in the grasp of the Hideous Strength.
