Anyone with a son, daughter, grandson or grand-daughter will love this book! The illustrations and text are spectacular! You can smell the pine trees and the fresh Wisconsin air from the pages. It reminds all of us that time and simple activities sans technology make lasting memories. Dan Paschen spent at least 30 years as a teacher and coach in the Chicago suburbs. He and his wife Jean raised three children. I loved this story and look forward to giving it to all of my friends as they become grandparents!!!

Here are some reviews from another website. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Vincent M. Quinn on September 16, 2015 Although I'm not a fisherman, this book brought back fond memories of those special moments I had with our children. Although the big events are important, it's those small moments that are the memory jewels. This book has them. The ending says it all. ByAlexis G.on September 22, 2015 My son & I love reading this book together! He enjoys the beautiful illustrations & I enjoy reading him a story that reminds us to celebrate those shared experiences between parent and child. Five stars!!!
