The Nurse’s Gratitude Reboot is just that. It takes you quickly to a starting place where you can begin journaling what brings you joy. Jae’s reflections on Nightingale’s roots, and then her roots, take us through subjects to trigger reflections on our own roots. It’s an enjoyable journey, thoughtful and soothing. This is a great gift to oneself and to other nurses. A nurse can open any page and immediately relate to its benefits. Gratitude does bring higher vibrations to our thoughts, and does help us pay it forward. Thank you Jae and Danan for this journey into journaling. I will pay it forward. First, let me say thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, CNAs. radiology techs. physical therapists and spiritual personnel that took care of my son Nick during his illness. You are truthfully angels from heaven, every one of you. I am not a nurse but I am a paramedic, This book touches the very heart and soul of why we in the health care profession do what we do. We, at times, forget why we do what we do and why on God's green earth we ever made this decision in the first place. I know this is true for me. It is so easy to forget the patient and their loved ones along the way. We all read technical books every day. We learn how to diagnose and treat myriad of ailments and afflictions. We sometimes get lost in in that part of our jobs and forget that we are taking care of another human. The Nurse's Gratitude Reboot is a book that speaks to all of us in the profession, not just nurses, but all. I am certainly going to encourage my fellow paramedics and EMTs to read it and start a... More > journal. Everyone of us would take away some benefit from this book, no matter what your job. If you are a Nurse, Doctor, PA, NP CNA,EMT, Paramedic, etc. and etc. Please at least give this book a read. It's not long or involved it's not rocket surgery! It's common sense. I know that you will get something from it. May I also suggest, when you are buying one for you, add a couple more to your order and give them to those special healthcare professionals in your lives. Thank you Jae and Danan, what a well thought out and timely book.< Less

I am not a nurse but I am a daughter and a sister of a nurse. I sat down to read the book with an open mind and an open heart. Nurses are doing a job that they signed up for, not a job they are doing until something better comes up. This is their life chosen career, usually for the rest of their lives. We have all been a patient, or we will be at some point. Hopefully not on any serious, life threating level. As humans, most of want to be in control, especially of our own lives. And when you become a patient, on any level, the nurse gets to be in control of the situation that you would rather not be in to begin with. Be thankful that someone is willing to take care of you during the times that no one else can. We all have a story that doesn't look like anyone else's. That doesn't make you better, it just makes you different. Be kind to people who care enough to help you. And thank them even if you think they already know that you are grateful. Grab a fancy cup of coffee and make time... More > to read this book, and then read it again. Nice job ladies.< Less
