Building Peace and Sustainable Development in Paraguay

This book focuses on conflicts based on economic tensions and how sustainable development strategies can contribute to building peaceful communities. I learned in this thesis that sustainable development is essential to making peace and maintaining justice for several reasons. First, as mentioned before, the concept of peace should not be just limited to absence of war or violence. Second, when basic human needs are unmet, people without proper education and without jobs can cause an unjust order, violence, and even war. Third, the lack of economic and environmental political implementations in support of sustainable development can be by itself a cause of injustice and conflict.
