Godfings (The Great Beyond & The Great Unwashed: What I Lost & What I Found)

Jesus once said that people treated him as they treated “the least of these.” But what does it mean when “the least of these” are sometimes addicts, criminals or mentally unstable? When I was a kid, we had homeless people living with us. They helped me with my homework. Sometimes they stole our stuff. As a school leaver, I would catch the bus into town with my girlfriend just so we could meet people. We loved spending time with our vagabond friends and we learned so much from them. Today we live in a housing commission suburb in Tasmania. Our two daughters have dozens of big brothers who used to throw rocks on our roof and we drive an unusually shiny red car donated to us by a friend. Godfings is about our adventures of living and loving the least of these... then wondering which of my young friends has stolen my wallet.
