Hats off to Pam for writing her brilliant My Crazy Life WIth Mast Cell book.It just so happens to be describing my life right now almost down to every crazy detail!Whats best is that I have confirmation to show my family every step of the way.I can relate in so many ways to what you have went through and I know it's been hell but thank goodness for those who forge a path before us and are able to try and remove at least some of the stumbling blocks along the way.And most of all to reasure our families that with mast cell disease yes all these crazy things can all be par for the course!

After being diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome 4 months ago and the devastation of regular anaphylaxis & all of these other ridiculous symptoms, I stumbled upon this book. It made me feel like there were others out there living the same ridiculous life, but Pam was able to make this book both funny & informative. I personally related to so many of her scenarios & it gave me comfort even when I was feeling mostly isolated. She gave so many practical suggestions as well for managing this condition & communicating it to others as well, which has been a major frustration as well. Thank you for sharing your story!

"Pam Hodge, Your book has brought so much to my life.Thank you-... More > Kandi B. Pam Hodge has taken what was absolute and utter chaos for her and her family and transformed it into a well written and easy to understand book about a rare illness. She walks the reader through her life from discovery of the issues, to ultimate diagnosis, and treatment with amazing clarity. I'm in awe of her ability to still smile and inject humor into what would have brought most of us to our knees. The reality is that most of us take our health for granted. Only when someone we love and deal with on a day to day basis do we stop and appreciate this gift. Pam helps us to savor the health we have with brutal honesty. I hope she takes the time to let us, the reader, know how things are progressing and the new discoveries she will continue to make in the future. I'm anxious for the sequel!-Karen O.
