Between the Pillars

Beau Brummell was about as eccentric as one could get. In his thirty-two years of life, he was known as many occupations—cartographer, linguist, horologist, astronomer, poet, painter, philanthropist, musician, and dreamer (just to name a few). As much of a Renaissance man he was, boring was most absent from his repertoire. He affixed himself to the finer fancies in life. There just wasn’t enough time for sporting, gamboling, or banking that the other men of his day enjoyed. Beau preferred the qualities of art and the written word a trifle more. After all, if one hasn’t the time to read, on hasn’t the time to live!
