"The superiority of the King James Bible - a review" "The superiority of the King James Bible" is a scholarly work by Danny Jack. He shows that the King James Bible was translated from the best texts, viz. the Masoretic Hebrew text and the Textus Receptus. He describes the extraordinary care that the Masoretic Hebrew scribes excercised in copying the text. The translators of the King James Bible, 57 of them, were masters of the Coptic languages and performed an accurate word for word tranlation of the scriptures. By comparison, translators of the modern versions used corrupted Hebrew and Greek texts, used what was called "dynamic equivalence," a kind of "concept for concept" translation instead of a word for word translation. Changes were made deliberately to make the versions conform to particular doctrines. As a result, the modern versions cannot compare in accuracy and reliability with the King James version.
