This is an irreverent collection of articles and letters about electronic publishing by Danny O. Snow, with additional contributions by Richard Eoin Nash, Dan Poynter, Wade Roush and Glenn Sanders. It traced the evolution of e-Books in “ancient times,” 1999 to 2002. Additional reports followed, as shown at: In early reports, Snow flatly rejected the notion that challenges in DRM (“digital rights management,” also called copy protection, encryption, etc.) should prevent authors and publishers from earning profits from e-Books. Instead, he argued that booksellers would need to update their technology and business models to meet the normal buying and reading patterns of consumers. He also reaffirmed his long-standing conviction that the inherent power of electronic publishing virtually insured e-Books an important role in the future of publishing.
