"Harlan Haunts" Harlan Haunts is really something. I just couldn't put it down. As I read the first story, I had to stay with it and see what the next was about, and I had to keep reading. It brought back happenings that I saw. And memories of stories that I was told about from my Grandparents, and other family members ! Darla let us all see that we all see things that we cannot explain. But that it is Ok. And that what we experienced helped make us who we are. Congratulations ! Darla Jackson on a Wonderful Book !
""Harlan County Haunts"" Darla, I feel privileged to have several stories included in your book! My stories will forever be preserved for others to read and enjoy. I well remember sitting along with my siblings at my parent's and grandparent's feet, as they skillfully told stories of strange happenings. I loved listening to those stories of the supernatural. Those particular stories always left my hair feeling as if it stood straight up on its ends. As I listened, I knew those stories were true, and never doubted that they weren't! You have done an excellent job with "Harlan County Haunts!" I have spoken with many people who have read your book, and I've heard only positive comments. I have been told by many people that once s/he began reading your book, s/he couldn't put it down! There are many people out there who share the same interest, and love reading and hearing stories about the strange and unusual. As we are well aware, there are also many people... More > whom have had experiences with the supernatural. The fear of ridicule may have kept some of these people from ever speaking of the unexplained event. Perhaps your book will encourage others to finally open up and talk about what s/he experienced. I encourage anyone reading this review, to purchase "Harlan County Haunts." The book is masterfully rendered. It will draw you in by leaving you feeling compelled to continue reading until you have finished the last page! The novella "Caroline" is spine tingling, and will completely capture your heart. It would be great if people are inspired to document stories past down in their families, or their own personal accounts. This way a person could preserve storys and/or personal accounts for future generations, and wouldn't be lost with time. I encourage you to order "Harlan County Haunts." You will enjoy each and every story. I promise that you will absolutely love it! Congratulations Darla on a great job, wonderfully done! Darlene Steele< Less
