What is it like to be an extra with the world-famous Royal Shakespeare Company? Eight ordinary residents of Stratford found out in the summer of 2004.
They played Switzers (Swiss mercenaries) in Mr Michael Boyd's production of Hamlet starring Toby Stephens in the title role.
"The Switzer's Guide To Hamlet" is a comic account of their experiences.
It has been featured on BBC radio and Mr Boyd said of the Guide that "it is great to see it all from your point-of-view."

"The Switzer's Guide To Hamlet" Highly entertaining and original perspective on Shakespeare's masterpiece Must read for anyone interested in acting, theatre, or just finding their inner Thespian. To thine own self be true! A great buy – highly recommended
"The Switzer's Guide to Hamlet" "These are but wild and whirling words.......There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." An absolutely tremendous insight, thought provoking, amusing and an altogether different spin on this most famous Shakespearean tale. A very worthwhile purchase.
