If you are interested in REALLY being an entrepreneur this is a must read. A straight GUT CHECK for someone considering a position in sales and basing it on SYSTEMS, rather than chance. I am in a parallel industry to Darren and a top producer, and I got more out of this book than I did from any other read EVER..... I had a RARE opportunity to speak to him about business, and I can tell you he's about as real as it gets. Ironically the only way this book costs you money is if you DON'T buy it!.....Adam Maggio

I love this book because it is real talk. It provides real solutions to real problems entrepenuers face. This book took me to the next level by giving me confidence, clarity, and the ability to develop a system. Now I can provide clarity to my agents, create a culture that people want to be a part of, and accomplish things even I didn't think I could. I have only read the book twice, but I keep it with me to remind me that if Darren can do it, I can do it. And I can't wait to read it again! Thank you, Darren, for sharing your system with me.

"Now and again, a book comes along that rivets my attention because it challenges how I think about things. Darren's book is such a book. Drawing from a successful career, Darren spells out the critical drivers to his success. His approach challenges conventional wisdom. It's brash, unapologetic, and given his results, successful. Read it and see." - Cora Tellez, President & CEO, Sterling HSA "I have shelves full of books that promise to improve my selling skills. This one is one the few that I have actually read past the first chapter. In fact, I couldn't put it down. It is a fast read, entertaining and provides great insight turing the complex world of sales into a simple proven process. Darren Sugiyama IS the Tony Robbins of the insurance industry." - Michael Gomes, Executive Vice-President, BenefitMall "Darren is a visionary and successful businessman. With his focus and diligence, he has built a large, powerful insurance agency in California. His... More > cutting edge approach is revolutionary and is well positioned for the future." - Kathy Dibble, Vice-President of Sales & Service, Aetna "Darren has sat on our Broker Advisory Board for several years and is a great contributor to Kaiser Permanente. His creative and hard-charging approach to business is refreshing and challenges the antiquated norm of the insurance industry. Darren is a fierce competitor and has built an incredibly successful practice in just a few short years." - Peter Andrade, Vice-President, Kaiser Permanente "Darren Sugiyama has a magical insight and perception of how to uncover the mystery and sometimes complex fundamentals of selling, relating to a customer, talking so a client can understand and be motivated to take action that has never been communicated so clearly in a book before. Darren goes on to to explain the fundamentals of how to build a successful sales organization from his experience and success in a clear and concise manner with transferable understandable concepts that are the ABC's of building and growing and organization that are essential for success." -James Chapel, Entrepreneur, Newport Beach, CA "If you are an experienced or a new insurance agent/agency, Darren Sugiyama's book: How I Built A $37 Million Insurance Agency In Less Than 7 Years will help you grow your business...period! He goes over the strategies and tactics to recruit more effectively, close group business on the first appointment (and the client wants you to!! -- we got 4 BORs in the first month), build systems that drive revenue and decrease workload, what to wear, etc... This isn't abstract advice that makes you feel good. This is advice that will increase your revenue and keep you pertinent in today's marketplace. The less than $20 price tag is one of the cheapest and best investments you can make to stay competitive." -Luke Murray, Co-Owner & Founder of Aspire Benefits, Dublin, OH "Darren explains step by step how he built his empire. His straightforwardness coupled with his no-BS attitude makes this an enjoyable and educational read. Of the many topics within this book, you'll find out how Darren hires 1099's and closes sales as well as the importance of your company and personal brand. You will learn things that will not only help you succeed in the insurance industry, but in any other industry you may be in. Highly recommended." -David Nguyen, Insurance Agent, Orange County, CA "This is one of the few books in recent memory that I actually enjoyed reading. I generally have pretty low expectations for books of this genre, but the combination of insightful advice and real world applicability gave this book a certain legitimacy and usefulness I've found similar titles lacking. I've already put several of the strategies in this book into practice in my own life, and have been pleasantly surprised by the results. To be fair, I have a background in insurance that makes this book especially relevant for me, but this text has so much useful information that anyone who wants to build a better company or even just learn more about what it takes to be successful will get a lot out of this book." -Insurance Agent, Priestington Insurance Services "This book is straight forward, simple, and easy to read. This book can be very useful to someone starting out in the insurance business or even an experienced insurance professional. It covers everything from describing how to present yourself in front of your prospects and employees all the way up to running your own agency. The approach Darren uses is a system driven approach instead of a people driven approach which is a shocking to some people but very effective in the field. I strongly recommend this book to anyone in sales and/or someone who manages 1099 employees." -Anonymous Insurance Agent< Less
