Noble is a compilation of personal narratives and poetry documenting the remarkable journeys of eight young adult cancer survivors in New York City. The works contained in Noble were prepared as part of The re:Writing Project's Winter 2005 Cycle. The re:Writing Project is a writer's workshop sponsored by The New York LifeLab (, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping young adult cancer survivors rebuild their lives after treatment. "A must read" A beautifully conceived and written book. These exquisite poems and narratives capture the pain and uncertainty experienced by those living with cancer and its aftermath. It is a difficult subject dealt with great artistry and clarity. The eight survivor-writers, the editor David Stoler, the LifeLab and the Teachers and Writers Collaborative have done all readers a great service. I look forward to the next issue.
