"He's Not A Doorman" After reading Dave Burgess' book "Flugtag 88", I bought a copy of his nook "He's Not A Doorman", hoping that it would help me understand my brother-in-law. He's in the Air Force, and I've never really understood why he is the way he is. This book helped me solve a lot of that. The book was clearly written for military wives and mothers (there are several sections of the book that are explicitly for wives) but there are many interesting sections about the military uniform and some of the military's traditions that I never really thought about. I like the fact that the entire book is written to the civilians (like me) and not to the military. I feel like I understand what Stan goes through now and will be more supportive and understanding of my sister when Stan goes on deployments.
