"The Right Book at the Right Time" Like the author, I, too, am an engineer who has recently taken up fly fishing, lives in Northern Virginia, has recently joined the Northern Virginia chapter of Trout Unlimited, and had my first fly fishing trip with member George Paine. So in terms of timely books, there wasn't a more appropriate fly fishing book on the market for me than Mr. Cartier's A Fly-Fishing Newbie. This book makes for a good seque into some of the larger volumes on fly fishing. I hope that this first writing effort by Mr. Cartier is not his last, and that he revisits his Fly-Fishing Newbie book in years to come to include additional lessons-learned and knowledge gained.
