The Strange Case of Helena Q

When handwriting expert and consummate showman Donald Macalister gives a presentation to the Kirkley Women's Rural Institute one foggy evening in January, he is given a sample of handwriting whose form and characteristics shakes him to the very core of his being. So beginsa series of adventures as his life becomes entwined in the visions of a nineteenth century spiritualist medium and a young woman struggling to come to terms with her past. On his journey into the nature of consciousness he encounters many people who are not what they seem; in fact, is Macalister really who he thinks he is?
