This book chronicles the 2009/2010 topsy-turvy season of Celtic Football Club through the eyes of the LostBhoys, a group of fans who came together by setting up a website and producing a weekly podcast discussing their beloved Hoops. Although, ultimately a disappointing season on and off the pitch for the Club, we hope you “enjoy” the good humoured articles and blogs of Chris, Jamie, Casey, Eddie, Harper, Charlie, Gary, Joe & Conall as they discussed all the games and everything else going on in the world of Celtic on a week by week basis. As results went against the team, passions flowed and arguments raged over the manager’s position, team selections, player performances and the direction in which the Club was going. Hope soon turned to despair and optimism transpired to realism as the team limped to a trophyless season. This is our story and your story as we laughed, cried, ranted and raved but never gave up on Celtic FC. ALL profits to The Good Child... More > Foundation< Less

I am so proud of what we have been able to contribute to the Good Child Foundation. Great job Harper putting this book together and to all of the bloggers that made this possible.

What can you say about season 2009/10 for Celtic? Well, your first instinct would be "I'd rather not say anything to be honest, it was gash". But... This book is a very refreshing look back at that season. No "Pravda" feel that you get from the official Celtic seasonal reviews (funnily enough, you won't find an official one from 2009/10) and no Laptop Loyal, negative spin on every single story nonsense from the Scottish Media. Okay, so the book is mainly made up of stuff you may have read on the LostBhoys web site over the course of the season. But I read this in June, and I'd pretty much forgotten some of the earlier season stuff by then already. This book brought it all back, and more or less echoed how I was feeling at the time. As with the site itself, the book spends more time on the latter part of the season than the earlier part. That's explained by the simple fact that the web site is still growing in stature, evolving as the season goes. By the end of the... More > book you're already looking forward to the 2010/11 season, and maybe a sequel to this book... possibly, hopefully reviewing a more successful season?! You could buy this book for the absolutely brilliant charity alone - the Good Child Foundation do some fantastic work and all the profits from the sales of this book going to them is a great touch that's well within the ethos of everything Celtic were founded for - but even that aside it's a damn fine read and one that every Celtic fan could relate to.< Less
