"Philosophy" Having an interest in philosophy but not knowing much about modern developments and issues, this book proved to be a concise yet informative introduction to this field. It makes a very interesting read and i thoroughly enjoyed it. The book has helped me to focus more clearly on topics that interested me as a large part of this book is directed towards epistemology which i am inclined towards. Also there is a lot of historical background to important ideas and people that provided another avenue to read upon. Most of the book's readability is due to a very informal manner of wrting; there is nothing pedantic about it. Books like these could be very useful in poor countries like mine (Pakistan) where there is emphasis largely on rote learning in schools, as the book not only gives the required information on the subject but it does so in a manner that enables one to think for himself. All in all i had a lot of fun reading it.
