I got all three books of David yesterday which I ordered from Lulu. This is the best book ever written on portrait drawing; it's helping me a lot! no grammatical and anatomical bla bla bla like most other books. To the point discussion and focused directly on the techniques to transform an ordinary drawing to a masterpiece which looks almost similar to a photograph!!! simply great. I really appreciate this David. This book is focused on drawing portraits, lively spectacular portraits. Step by step illustration enables the reader to go through the complete process of drawing a realistic portraits. In this book most of the drawings are provided with the reference photograph which would give the reader a clear view of the whole process and also inspires the reader to believe that it's not impossible to make a pencil drawing which completely looks like a black and white photograph. love you David. Keep going. Shuvro.
Congratulations David on another book that is extremely well done. Your choice of cover art is perfect and so is the drawing. To capture her look of wisdom and longevity through your pencil is an accomplishment many artist only dream of and it is so well executed. I'm really looking forward to your next book to add to my collection and I can't tell you just how much your books have helped my own creative style. Dan
