1809 Massachusetts Election Discourse by David Osgood, D.D. B.A. Harvard, 1771, M.A. Harvard, 1773, S.T.D., Yale, 1797. Dr. Osgood was one of the best speakers of the early Constitutional Era, with this political work being perhaps his finest effort. Appended here is a catalog of all Massachusetts Election Discourses beginning in 1631, the speaker, his city of residence, and the Biblical reference cited, as available in 1809 to the original publisher. Several Harvard Presidents are listed. This serves as a reference to the Philosphical works that the American Experiment in Self-Government was founded upon.
