With this story, I can honestly say I didn't really know what to expect. The description didn't tell me much about it, and neither did the title. But, now after finishing reading Alan's Story: The Wild Horse( quite quickly if I do say so myself) I have only one thing to really say about it: It was a really good read. Alan (The Main Character) is so believeable as a person, with his emotions, his life, and his longing for the girl next door. As I read on I learn much more about this character, and the past behind the crippling fear of change(or of reaching for the girl he so loves) that this man oh so obviously has. I particularly like the use of hindsight humour(as if it was his diary and he was simply reading back on things he thought or felt, often mocking his own feelings). The characters dilemma -in a way - reminds me of Leonard from the Big Bang Theory, and Penny from across the hall( however if I had to distinguish between Alan and Leonard I would say that Alan is quite a bit... More > more pathetic). Overall: This was a good read, and at 23 pages it makes a good quick commuter read(and it's free!!). I'm glad I took a chance on downloading it. Happy Reading.< Less
