My 8 yr old son and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Ashton's adventure. In addition to laughing heartily, it created numerous opportunities to talk about practical ways to live out our faith. Fun. Engaging. Hard to put down. Insightful. Get a copy. Give a copy.

What a great book! I read this to my four-year old because she had heard the author read a chapter out loud and was captivated. I was concerned that it might be a bit too old for her, but she loved it and we read it all in two days! Reading this book has now encouraged her to want to "read" more chapter books like this; it has been a gateway into further reading. She still talks about Ashton even though we read it over a month ago. Highly recommended!

I read this to both of my children, ages 5 and 7. Whenever the chapter would end, they would beg for me to continue. I found them during playtime acting out Ashton falling through every apartment. A few scenes had to be skipped that were too scary for my kindergartener, but weren't for the older child. Although they enjoyed the quick and unpredictable plot, I appreciated the spiritual metaphors throughout the book, especially those about spiritual warfare and the effect of lies. A real winner!
