"TOUGH TO KILL is easy to love!" What can I say? I love action flicks. Not just the high gloss ones of Hollywood, but the ones across this plane tof ours that use the conventions of the action film and embrace them as they are meant to be embraced. Tough to Kill Vol. 1 is an excellent primer for those of us who just dabble in this genre. Authors Paul Cooke and David Zuzelo are experts in this field and they give wonderful plot synopsis and criticisms of a plethora of flicks in this genre. The use of exploding huts as a rating system is nothing short of genius. and this isn't just some fan boy thing. Of all the films covered in this first volume only three of them get the coveted five exploding huts rating. This is the wrok of true critics and should be appreciated as such. Hopefully there is not a long wait until the next volume. Maybe they'll delve into the jungle action sub genre next. I can hardly wait.
