This is a coffee table style book that reveals the arrival of spring on the Texas Gulf Coast. The photos were taken by noted photographer R. Dean Johnstone during the 5 month long Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo Contest. The photos were taken on the Louis Foester III Ranch from February 1, 2007 through July 1, 2007. The ranch is situated between Port Lavaca and Port O'Connor in an area of the coast where nature still dominates the landscape.
