"Review for The Live A Part Family" I really liked this book. It is written in a language that speaks gently to the child about divorce and living in two households. I have worked with young children for over 25 years and I see this book as a tool for the child to use to talk about his or her situation. It's good!

"The Live A Part Family (or the Family that Lives Apart)" This book can be used as a scrapbook type chronology for your child to paste family photos, draw pictures to go along with the story is designed to stimulate dialogue between parent and child to assist your child in understanding that divorce is not their fault, that they still have parents to care for them and who still love them very much. The family unit just looks different now and with some creativity and commitment,it's all going to work out just fine! This is a simple story and my intention is that in its simplicity it will have a powerful healing impact on families as they are going through this change in the family unit.
