I loved this. I spent a good amount of time basically yelling at a friend excitedly about it right after I'd finished. I think next time I read it, it will have to be out-loud to someone, because the rhythm of the words and the pace of the story are absolutely beautiful. If you are at all into a) the Vietnam War b) narrative poetry (admittedly, I had no idea if I was or not before I read this, but still loved it) and c) bodyhorror, you should buy this book. (There is even a very cheap e-book version available, if the really reasonable price tag is still too much for you to take the plunge). Highly recommended.
