Price: $12.27
This popular book is the only one in the world that discusses hip dysplasia for adult patients. Whether you were diagnosed as a child and have ongoing problems now, or have developed dysplasia as an adult, this book covers every topic imaginable about this difficult condition. Written in a friendly and easy to understand way, with a minimum of jargon, this book goes from hip anatomy and diagnosis through to living with disability, hip surgery, what to expect in hospital, and recovery at home. There is a chapter for carers, and one of DIY projects you may like to make. The book contains a great deal of information on hip replacement, too, so if you're having a hip replacement for another reason, especially as a younger patient, this book will still help you. Recommended by orthopaedic surgeons from around the world. Both authors have bilateral hip dysplasia, and have been through the surgeries discussed in the book.

This is a great book! It's not easy to get answers to all my questions and concerns from doctors and internet until I found and read this book. I have decided to take the PAO surgery at 50 years old age, this books gives me knowlege and coverage to take it. I just purchase another ebook version so that I can review it on my IPAD. As Chinse, with limited knowlge about DDH, I don't feel difficult to read this book at all. Those difficult medical concept/terms is written and explained in this book in a very simple, clear and fridenly way. It will be veryfull to Chinese DDH patiens if there is Chinese translation version.

An invaluable book - I really can't recommend it highly enough. It has detailed but clear explanations, attractive illustrations and a very readable style. It is chock-full of tips and strategies for dealing with life with troublesome hips, plus many quotes from real patients who have gone though it all. Anyone who has dysplasia or knows someone with dysplasia should have a copy of this book - in fact it should be required reading for all healthcare workers! Very handy to have as an e-book, as you can whip out your laptop or whatever and use it to explain your condition to anyone who needs to know. Do yourself a favour and buy this book - an amazing tool for expanding your knowledge and a real help in dealing with dysplasia.
