This book, chronicles an Irish female student struggles to find her true sexual identity and later indulging in a sort of committed but forbidden lesbian relationship between herself and a recently graduated female Jamaican lawyer. Set almost entirely in Jamaica where homosexuality is taboo; and is a very risky social behavior for anyone who publicly practices it; the book offers a more intimate insight into the life of Elizabeth Leisac, as she struggles to resonate with her unexpected allegiance to Lesbianism.
