"Excelent Job" The ending was a total surprise. You’re on your way young man. I agree, pick a tense. Present tense can be cumbersome and difficult to maintain. You are a terrific author and I would like your opinion of No Time To Duck.

"The Motel" Writing with shaking hands after the truly scary "The Motel", an incredibly well written short story that Steven King would be proud of. It grips you from the first words, and the end leaves you gasping for more. I dare you to read this work, written by a young but brilliant author.

"Caught off gaurd." What's notable here is your sense of humor coming through what should be a straight telling. This works. It brings you into the mood of something bad happening to the character and suddenly there's a point of laughter. Some more tips: Pick a tense. Personally I always write in the past tense. writing in presence tense is well, harder. Your flipping betwen the two. If you can write in presence tense, well you got my awe then, because you end up falling back on past tense right in the middle of it.
