Excellent interesting story! I pray that writing like this no longer goes unnoticed due to the various celebs writing books. God Bless you Allison, Devon and Daphne and all who were involved with this book. It's excellent, interesting and educational. May you find yourself on the bestsellers list for a lifetime!
"Fundi" I loved this book! It will catch the attention of any child. There are wonderful adventures that keeps you wondering what will happen next to Fundi. The illustrations are bright and beautiful and really makes you escape into Fundi's world. Even the print makes it easy for a child to read. I can hardly wait to read this to my grand daughter.
"Fundi the Snail" I bought this book for my son because he really liked the cover. Sounds silly, but there you go. I am so glad that I did. It is getting harder and harder these days to find books for kids that are designed to inspire imagination through the use of words rather than through a succession of pictures. This is one of those books that does not talk down to children. The author uses a variety of words that kept my 4-year-old interested and inquisitive ("What is a contraption, daddy?") without being complicated, and the writing was completely entertaining for us as adults to read to him. We had lots of fun making up voices for the different characters! The pictures are wonderful, and there are just enough of them (one per chapter) to provide inspiration without relying on them to tell the story. It allows just enough time between illustrations for a child's imagination to fill in the blanks with the descriptive words, which to me is the essence of good... More > writing. All in all, this is a fantastic book which both entertains and educates. Highly recommended!< Less
