I first read this book in one sitting over 6 years ago. I loved it and was moved more than once. Today it reads very differently at times for personal reasons. ‘Giving In’ feels like a gut-punch from the author herself. I still don’t know what hit me. I also relate so much to ‘Unavailable’ that I feel like I could have written it myself. Buy this book. You’ll find more than one piece you’ll enjoy and/or relate to. I was slightly disappointed that the original cover art and author photo were not included in the pdf format, but I have them elsewhere.

"Re: Ignorance" This is just a poem I wrote after the controversy surrounding the movie first started. Never once have I said that these are my personal feelings about the movie. I just like to write poems about how other people might feel about a given topic, and this is what I did for this particular poem.

"Ignorance" It’s Always the Movies I’m so tired of all the talk media is way too hype either see the movie or don’t see it either believe the hoopla or don’t believe it is it a truthful account? is it anti-Semitic? is it a blasphemy against Christianity? Church-goers flock to see it pastors pay to get it in churches thousands upon thousands viewed the story I refuse to have anything to do with the film it’s created by the famous son of a man who refuses to believe in the Holocaust refuses to believed in accepted Catholicism It’s a truly hypocritical film pure mockery of religion I refuse to indulge in the controversy Even though you say you don't care about the media and what they say about the film, the second paragraph suggests otherwise. All of the reasons you won't see the film are reasons that have been portrayed in the media millions of times especially while the film was in making and being marketed to the public. You say you don't want anything to do with the... More > film which is why I'm guessing you probably haven't seen it. I'd like to call it blatant ignorance. You take a movie which is just that, a movie, and turn it into a big controversy and it was never meant to be that way in the first place. You judge people you have never met ( I highly doubt you met Mel Gibson so don't tell me you did ). In truth your part of the talk and the hype.< Less
