Detective Inspector Archie Blue wakens to find himself on remote planet Loh, currently embroilled in a brutal civil war. He also appears to be engaged to an alien, Farspace Commander Kharalaya 7 Calfarr... When he and Khara return to earth to apprehend his former chief constable, Sir Peter Masson, identified as a dangerous renegade from Loh, he finds that his friend, recently promoted DI Cam Wilkie, is unwilling to believe his story. Cam has problems of his own – apart from dealing with the aftermath of the arrest and trial of Gregor Czarneki, aka Blok, one of Scotland`s most violent gangland bosses, his personal life is in disarray. Once again, the two worlds collide and, in a tense and explosive ending, Archie, Khara and Cam struggle to do what is best for themselves, their friends and family and, ultimately, for their respective planets.
