"A valuable tool for parents and teens!" I was very impressed with the practical advice Pownall-Gray imparts in this workbook. Bullying is a widespread epidemic among children of all ages, and few attempts have been made to address just how serious this issue really is. I love that this is not simply a didactic book which lectures the child (and parents). Instead, it takes the children on an interactive journey in which they answer questions and come to certain conclusions with the help of the narrator. The reader is very much involved in his own transformation. So I find the Surviving Bullies workbook is impressive because it teaches through participation. I think the fact that Pownall-Gray is one who has been there adds credibility unlike other authors who write with mere objectivity. I suffered from a certain amount of bullying growing up, and I would recommend this useful guide to anyone else who is suffering at the hands of bullies, or watching a loved one suffer.
