This collection of essays is dedicated to greed and its consequences in the contemporary neoliberal world, which is tackled by a PhD physicist from a small and fragile post-socialist European country (Croatia) but with a history of living and working in three developed European countries (UK, Switzerland, and Germany). The essays are based on his experience both from different countries and different political systems (socialism, capitalism). The author observes and analyses a number of cultural, social, natural, and political phenomena, which is done in an unusual manner — by using natural sciences as the main analytical tool and supplementing this by his decent knowledge of history, politics, and related disciplines.
