Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The Diocese of Fond du Lac is the Episcopal Church in the 27 counties in northeastern Wisconsin. These are defined as what extends over “that part of the State of Wisconsin lying north and west of the south line of the counties of Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Adams and Wood, and east of the east line of the counties of Clark, Taylor, Price and Iron, together with such portion of the county of Dodge as is or may be included in the city of Waupun.” (Constitution of the Diocese of Fond du Lac). The diocese was originally part of the missionary district of the Northwest, then the missionary district of Wisconsin and then the Diocese of Wisconsin (organized in 1854). The Diocese of Fond du Lac was organized in 1875.
When the Diocese of Eau Claire was organized in 1928 in the northeastern third of the state, the Diocese of Fond du Lac took on its present geographical dimensions.
