Joe Stone's life is turned upside down following a chance meeting with a beautiful woman called Zee. They are captured and taken on a long journey by a desperate, dying species and experience an experimental evaluation of humankind from deep within their subconscious, before being reunited, the moment they awake, to begin a blossoming love affair set to the backdrop of an alien world. An artful mix of sci fi environments and scenarios by a writer who certainly knows a word or two. An enthralling story with a human and an alien interest at its heart with more ideas than Einstein (although some of them may prove a little difficult to verify - at least in the next decade or two). Plenty of references to earthly concepts but expanded in an alien setting. Loved it from the start to finish.
