The Republic of South Sudan

This book, The Republic of South Sudan: The Challenges Ahead, comes in the wake of South Sudan’s secession from the rest of the country. The primary objective was to honor the fallen liberation fighters of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army, and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement. Let the Almighty God rest their souls in eternal peace. As South Sudan prepares to celebrate its independence in the twenty-first century, the challenges the new nation will face right from its infancy is the formation of a broad-based government of national unity that oversees the formation of the executive, legislative, and judicial institutions. Nevertheless, the Southern Sudanese political forces need to form a cohesive national government free of corruption, tribalism, nepotism, and regionalism—this is the first step toward a representative national democratic government.
