Nickolas Votti, a Fireman with the Gailon City Fire Department, is injured in a fire and is given four weeks of sick leave. His dizzy spells progressively worsened and would see a strange cave. One day, as he was dressing, he becomes lightheaded; the cave replaces his reflection in a full-length mirror, and he passes out and falls to the floor. He awakens to find that he is lying on the rocky floor of the cave which is located in a large Corridor. Nickolas leaves the cave and travels the Corridor. He rescues Torrellin, who is a Wizard from Bren-talla, a city on the world of Anstra, one of many worlds whose invisible portals can be found along the Great Corridor. Nick discovers that he’s a Wizard, a descendent of the Ancients who fled to Earth centuries ago in an attempt to avoid capture by the Seekers and taken to Kin-Narta, an Imperial whose goal is to destroy all Wizards.
