The Homespun Collection of Catch Phrases, Slogans & Idioms is based on many years of exhaustive research by Dr. David Schaal, his office staff, patients, friends, and understanding family. To compile such an extensive list, everyone along the line was urged by Dr. Dave to “jot down” any idiom, slogan or catchy phrase that came to mind in a small notebook.
As each notebook was filled up, another took its place until three notebooks and countless loose slips of paper were completely filled with over 2,400 sayings, slogans and idioms.
Then came the task of publishing the results; a whole new ball game.
